character evolution is fun. i usually base the things i draw on real people. but after such a long time, they mostly just become their own things, and have nothing to do with those people at all. as the characters "grow", i tend to assign them traits that make them completely different than their introduction. but in real life that happens to me all the time. my initial idea of a person is never the same as what they really are.
